Here at SEMO Cattle Company, we are a cow-calf operation. We raise purebred black wagyu cattle. We are proud to raise our cattle through the entirety of their lifetime on our family farm.

We believe that our cattle deserve to have a quality life. At SEMO Cattle Company, our cattle are treated with the utmost respect. Ultimately raising quality, well-cared for cattle leads to a quality beef product. As a veterinarian, our founder is able to monitor our cattle regularly and only provide medical care when necessary to ensure our cattle are always healthy.
Rotational grazing
Our cattle are rotational grazers. This allows our cattle to have freedom of movement plus additional space and fresh air leading to overall herd health benefits. Having a regenerative agricultural system is important to us.
Our why
Our founder, ross sindle, dvm ,has always had a passion for food animals and agriculture. with semo cattle company, he has combined his love for food animals, his veterinary expertise, and his desire to bring trusted, local beef to the southeast missouri area. his hope is to raise quality cattle to produce quality beef for those in his hometown and surrounding areas.
WHAT IS WAGYU?
Wagyu is a Japanese cattle breed. The breed was first imported into the United States in 1975 and is known for its physical endurance and increased intramuscular fat cells (often referred to as marbling). The increased marbling leads to very tender beef with a unique taste, making it desired in fine dining.

Ross Sindle, DVM
Ronald Sindle
Dr. Sindle graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After working in the Columbia, MO area at a mixed animal practice, he and his family returned to their hometown of Sikeston, MO. He has a passion for food animal medicine. He decided to turn that passion, along with his veterinary expertise, into a premier cattle company to produce quality wagyu beef for the Southeast Missouri area.
Ronald, or Ronnie, is the first assistant to Dr. Sindle for all things cattle. He spent his working years serving his country as a Navy Corpsman, serving his hometown as a paramedic, and serving the Midwest in radiology. After retirement, he decided to work alongside his son raising cattle. He enjoys hard work and spending his days out in the pasture. SEMO Cattle Company wouldn’t be what it is today without Ronnie.

Allison sindle, MD, FAAD
Reese sindle
Jackson sindle
While her primary titles are mom, wife, and board-certified dermatologist, Allison enjoys creating online content for SEMO Cattle Company, managing the website, taking photos of the beautiful cattle, and bottle-feeding calves.
Reese has been raised on the farm, helping her daddy check the cows, providing plenty of hugs/calf cuddles, and checking to make sure the grain is of adequate quality for her cows.
Jackson has been raised on the farm as well and loves to help his daddy check the cows, ride the tractor, and inspect the grain with his sister.
